Getting Started

How to Start:

Begin with a Newbie Class! It's free, and will give you a feel of what dancing is like! From there, get a membership and choose which beginner course you would like to take.

Once you've got just a few basics, come to a Dance Party to practice what you've learned with the friends you've made in class. Finally join us on our Nights Out to dance with EVERYBODY!

Keep improving your dancing with the more advanced courses and workshops, and other services we offer!

Classes

Classes are the main method of learning here at The Dance Shack. Classes are taught in levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, and Master) and are supervised by an instructor. Here are the different types of classes we offer:

Newbie Class

Walk in and dance out with our free newbie class that will introduce you to the different dances that we teach!

Courses

Courses are where you learn your essential dance elements. We make it easy to get to know your classmates, and to learn to dance in a focused, structured way.

Drop-Ins

These relaxed classes are a quick way to improve the variety of your steps.

Workshops

Workshops zoom in on an area of dancing, and sharpen it. Areas such as styling, musicality, timing, lead & follow, body movement, and more!

Private Lessons

Private Lessons are the fastest way to improve your dancing.

Singles

Get customized teaching that will improve your dancing in the areas you need most!

Couples

Great for weddings, couples who want to have something fun and romantic to do, or friends who just want to learn to dance better.

Parties

Parties are a fun way to use your dancing, making it permanent and natural, as well as getting used to which dance goes to the music. Sometimes these parties are themed, and may feature spotlight performances by staff or members, as well as line dances and mixers. These parties are supervised by instructors that will dance with you and help you out!

Nights Out

Time to get out and show the world your stuff with our Nights Out on the Town! Learn to dance outside the studio, but with friends and familiar faces close by!
